According to the Taiwan ratings board, Castlevania Advance Collection will include Castlevania: Circle of the Moon, Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance, Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow, and surprisingly, Castlevania: Dracula X. While Circle of the Moon, Harmony of Dissonance, and Aria of Sorrow were all released for the Game Boy Advance in the early 2000s, Dracula X was a Super Nintendo game, a port of Castlevania: Rondo of Blood, later released for the PSP as Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles.

Besides leaking the supposed games that will be included in the Castlevania Advance Collection, the Taiwan ratings board has also revealed that the collection will include a Rewind feature, which is common in ports of retro games. This should make it much easier for players to complete the titles, though the Castlevania Game Boy Advance games aren’t exactly known for being overly difficult. However, it should still be a well-received feature as fans can always just ignore it and play the games normally if they like.
Ratings board leaks are usually fairly reliable, but in case anyone was doubting this Castlevania Advance Collection leak, there’s even more evidence to back it up. The ESRB has now rated Castlevania Advance Collection as well, which pretty much seals the deal that it exists and is going to be announced sooner rather than later. In fact, it wouldn’t be surprising at all if the Castlevania Advance Collection announcement came later today.
A Nintendo Direct will take place today, September 23, at 3pm PT. The event will be 40 minutes long and will consist of Nintendo Switch-related announcements for this coming winter. Since the Switch is one of the platforms mentioned in the Castlevania Advance Collection leaks, it stands to reason that it will be one of the projects announced during the Nintendo Direct.
For what it’s worth, Castlevania Advance Collection is also mentioned as a possible announcement by leaker SamusHunter, who accurately leaked the existence of the Nintendo Direct in the first place. While fans should always keep their expectations in check, it seems like there is a pretty good chance that they’ll get their first official look at Castlevania Advance Collection before the day is out.
Castlevania Advance Collection has not been officially announced.
