The Knicks star apologized and tried to explain why he didn’t join the rest of his USA Basketball teammates in their spirited rendition of Vanessa Carlton’s “A Thousand Miles” over the weekend.

Anthony blamed his apparent grumpiness during the team’s group sing-a-long on early morning hours.
“They know I don’t like early mornings,” Anthony told NBA TV following Team USA’s 110-66 win over Nigeria on Monday. “That was Jimmy’s (Butler) playlist, I’m taking the speakers back from him. No more music.”
Carlton responded with a tweet to Anthony on Monday.

Anthony said he does actually like the 2001 hit from the “Legally Blonde” soundtrack, which was infamously covered by Terry Crews in the satirical film “White Chicks.”
“I love the movie, you know ‘White Chicks,’ but they got me early in the morning,” Anthony said. “I’m sorry Vanessa, I apologize.”
It’s almost impossible not to believe him, because who could not like that song?
