Beltran, 37, has been dealing with a bone spur in his right elbow much of the season and has played in just 109 games. Signed to a three-year, $45 million contract in the offseson, Beltran has been a disappointment for the Yankees. He’s hitting .233/.301/.402 with 15 home runs and 49 RBIs, mainly as a designated hitter.
